What to Expect
Classes are held in our shop at 120th & Peoria in Henderson, CO. The program runs 16 weeks, 3 days a week, with flexible hours. We provide all the equipment, including your welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, and hard hat. Just bring work clothes and boots.

Hugo Cruz brings 20 years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience to every class. He teaches structural welding with stick and wire feed processes, and trains students to an AWS D1.1 welding procedure specification (WPS) in preparation for the SMAW structural welder qualification.

Do I need any welding experience?
No. Classes range from beginner to advanced, so you can start with zero experience. Your instructor will meet you where you are and build from there.
What should I wear to class?
Wear long pants made of cotton or denim, a long-sleeve cotton shirt, and work boots. Avoid synthetic fabrics, which can melt from sparks. We provide all of your safety gear.
Is welding gear provided?
Yes. We provide all the equipment you need, including your welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, and hard hat. Just bring work clothes and boots.
How much does it cost? Are payment plans available?

What can I do after the course?
Welding skills are used in construction, structural steel, oil and gas, custom fabrication, and repair work. You'll train toward the SMAW structural welder qualification, and Hugo can talk with you about next steps for your goals.
